Weekly Elevation
#8: February 13, 2026
The Weekly Elevation is a little boost to your inbox and subconscious mind every Monday morning to elevate your week ahead.
How often do you remember that you’re an adult with free will and can do whatever you want?
This weekend one of my childhood besties and her husband came to stay for a night at my house. This bestie and I had countless sleepovers as kids, and we kept giggling at how fun it was that we still get to do it now AND have our sweet hunnies there too!
Why don’t we do this more often was said at least a hundred times and it got me thinking…
Why is it so easy to forget sometimes that we truly can do whatever we want (yes, nuance obviously, but go with it for sake of argument here…)? That we are creative humans with means of making money to do the fun stuff that makes adulthood feel like the kind of freedom I thought it would be as a kid?
Looking back at life recently, I’m noticing it’s the things that childhood me would have been so excited about that feel the most special to me too. Getting to do work with my sister, create dance and get paid for it, order sushi for dinner to eat while on the couch with my dog watching the olympics…this stuff is FUN!
We tend to be really good at giving ourselves reasons why we can’t do things, but this week I’m curious to see what happens if we give ourselves all the reasons why we can.
That creative idea? Do it.
The friend you keep thinking about? Pick up the phone.
The trip you’ve been putting off? Look into flights.
The fancy plates you only use once a year? Get ‘em out.
The daydream you keep returning to? Make it happen.
What are the moments in your life recently that have made you feel that giddy reminder that being an adult gets to be fun? What are some choices you could make this week that embody that feeling of oh right…I can do whatever I want right now?
I just wonder what might shift this week if we invite in a little more awe. A little more giddiness. A few more choices that help us remember that this gets to be fun.
xo,
Kelsey
Reflections
What’s something you’ve been telling yourself you can’t do but really you could and it would be so much fun?
What about your life today would you childhood self think is so exciting?
What’s one small choice you could make today that would bring in a little more awe and joy?
If you enjoyed this week’s elevation, you can show your appreciation by buying me a coffee! This helps me open the energetic exchange with my community so I can continue to write, share, and create.

Yes to all of this! I literally have a little sign (folded piece of paper made into a tent) on my desk that says “make it FUN!”
Picked up the phone twice over the weekend to connect with people I have been meaning to connect with!! What occurred? Laugh attacks; reminiscing about special memories from long ago; feeling a sense of connection and love. And it was so easy! I agree so much with all of this Kelsey! We just have to make it happen!
