Weekly Elevation
#5: February 2, 2026
The Weekly Elevation is a little boost to your inbox and subconscious mind every Monday morning to elevate your week ahead.
Hello friends, happy Monday!
So, I want to tell you something….
It’s not just you.
And here’s what I mean by that:
My job as a hypnotherapist takes place in what I think of as the “backstage” of life. There’s no lights, no masks — just raw honesty about how people are feeling, and what they’re experiencing. It’s a sacred space, one I feel very privileged to be invited into.
Backstage is beautiful. It’s where honesty replaces performance. It’s where admissions of imposter syndrome, crippling doubt, and not feeling good enough come out. Tears are shed. Truths are revealed. And yet, if anyone were to see these same people out on the stage of life, it would be impossible to tell. From the outside, you’d never know.
We all have a backstage. The place we exist in the quiet moments before we step out right on cue to lead teams, run businesses, get kids ready for school — moments that often go unseen. A backstage where the questions arise:
Am I doing enough?
Do they like me?
Will it work out?
Am I good enough?
Am I far enough along?
Can I do this?
Is this normal?
What do they think of me?
Am I the only one who feels like this?
So many people feel like this — especially right now when we are holding the weight of the world along with trying to show up fully for our work, people we love, and ourselves.
It’s not just you.
It’s not just me (because I have these questions sometimes, too).
And when I remember that, I notice myself soften.
What do you notice?
If you imagine for a moment being in your next meeting, in line at Trader Joe’s, or doing whatever it is your day today holds, and you remember that there are others asking themselves some version of these questions right in front of you, what shifts?
My hypothesis that we shift into more compassion. More grace. More support.
More cheerleading and less comparing.
We don’t need to know what’s happening in the backstage of someone’s life to know it exists. To know we are all asking ourselves big questions while carrying and moving through big feelings — all while trying to do our best.
If you find yourself lingering in your backstage this week, sitting with those questions, know that is it is not just you. When thoughts of comparison float in, remember that beautiful soul you’re comparing yourself too most likely has these thoughts too.
As we prepare step onto the stage of the week, may we imagine just for a moment all being backstage together in that sacred moment before the music starts — witnessing each other’s fears and cheering each other on. Knowing we are not alone. Celebrating each other (and ourselves) just a little bit louder.
You’re doing great.
You are loved.
You are worthy.
You are perfectly on time.
You can do this.
xo,
Kelsey
Reflections
When you remember that most people (if not all) you cross paths with throughout your week are also working with complex backstages, what do you notice?
What is the energy of your own backstage today?
What shifts if you invite in a little more cheerleading?
